Benchmarking of drinking water supply and waste water treatment services

In line with the current policy of the Chinese government on secondary water supply utilities, this seminar will introduce European approaches for drinking water safety, security and reliability of wastewater treatment services.
Distinguished Chinese and Dutch speakers will share their experiences and insights, showcasing practical applications and best practices. This will include innovative concepts developed by the European water sector, aiming at assessing performance and implementing improvements.
The organizers would like to propose a Sino-Dutch demo project in water benchmarking for a maximum period of 3 years.

The European Benchmarking Co-operation (EBC Foundation) is an industry-based, not-for-profit benchmarking initiative for water- and wastewater services. The EBC Foundation facilitates water- and wastewater utilities for improving and innovating water services, and raising transparency.
EBC offers an international benchmarking programme for water services and provides a platform for management and operations. In close collaboration with local partners, the EBC Foundation runs benchmarking projects throughout Europe on a yearly basis.
The EBC Foundation intends to start a demonstration project in China
Based on discussions between Chinese- and Dutch partners in March 2015, EBC intends to run a demonstration project for the coming period of three years in close collaboration with Chinese partners. The specific goals will be discussed during the seminar.
