Smart Mobility Workshop
April 21, 2016 - April 22, 2016
The Ministry of Transport of the People’s Republic of China and the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment of the Netherlands aim to strengthen the cooperation in the field of Transportation. In particular the collaboration on issues related to:
Traffic management, including issues like data, data fusion, PPA/integrated network management, cooperative systems and automated driving
For this purpose, a Sino-Dutch workshop is organised in Beijing on April 21-22 2016. The workshop is organised by the Research Institute of Highway (RIOH) – affiliated to the Ministry of Transport and by Rijkswaterstaat (RWS) – as part of the Ministry of Infrastructure and Environment. TOCC (Traffic Operation Control Center), TU/Delft and TNO are also involved.
This workshop aims to build further on the existing cooperation of the joint Sino- Dutch working programme with data, data fusion, PPA and traffic models, that was started in April 2014 and aims to identify and organize concrete possibilities for public-private Sino-Dutch field operational trials. The workshop will concentrate on possibilities to use floating car data (data fusion techniques included) for traffic management purposes. The Dutch and Chinese state of art in this field will be presented and will be used to come to a project description in which the Dutch traffic management concept will be the basis for FCD that is available in China and vice versa.
The workshop further aims to agree on exchanges of PHd candidates and to identify steps to extend cooperation to cooperative systems and automated driving by sharing experiences, projects and ideas.
This workshop is partly open for Dutch and Chinese companies and organisations active in this field in China to incorporate their wishes and ideas in the cooperation.
